“Mental Retardation” IS a standard and deeply offensive label. People on the autism spectrum do not need such vapid markers and niether are they “lesser” or incapable of wit/intelligence. That speaks volumes of your own biases therefore you yourself come across as a “certified pop therapists” and it is facetious as well as degrading. I am agnostic and disinterested in devout Catholics as clinicians or for that matter any reference to any religion in my own practice. I work and live with people of colour in a country where the majority population doesn’t follow or practice catholicism. I am interetsed in a humanistic-existential form of mental health care that aligns with neurodivgerence and doesn’t place its locus on a bunch of European psychoanalysts. Thanks but no thanks.
